What is the China aluminum price today?

Today's China aluminum price is published above on this page in three benchmarks: SHFE front-month futures (the domestic Chinese price, CNY/t), Changjiang A00 spot (the main domestic billet reference, CNY/t), and a derived FOB Shanghai 6063 / 6061 quote (USD/t, including the 13% VAT rebate). The page refreshes every 24 hours at 02:00 UTC.

What's the difference between SHFE and LME aluminum prices?

SHFE is the Shanghai Futures Exchange — China's domestic price, in CNY/t. LME is the London Metal Exchange — the global benchmark, in USD/t. When SHFE trades above LME (in USD-equivalent), Chinese mills prefer domestic sales and export volume drops; when SHFE trades below LME, export volume rises and FOB China quotes become more competitive.

What does FOB Shanghai 6063 mean?

FOB (Free On Board) Shanghai 6063 is the price of one tonne of 6063 aluminum extrusion profiles, loaded on a vessel at Shanghai port. It already includes the 13% VAT export rebate Chinese mills receive, but excludes ocean freight, destination port duty, and import tax. To get your landed cost, add ocean freight (see Freightos data on this page) plus your country's import duty.

Where does the Changjiang A00 aluminum price come from?

Changjiang Nonferrous Metals Spot Market publishes a daily A00 grade (99.7% purity) aluminum spot price each morning around 11:00 AM Beijing time. It is the most-referenced spot price among Chinese aluminum mills and traders, more representative of physical-market settlements than SHFE futures.

How often is the aluminum price data updated?

All benchmarks on this page are refreshed daily. Aluminum futures (Yahoo Finance ALI=F) are quoted in USD/t; SHFE and Changjiang use session-close numbers from the prior trading day; FOB China is recomputed each refresh as aluminum futures (ALI=F) plus a fixed extrusion premium.
