Data sources. We combine (1) China State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) entity records, (2) ImportYeti and Panjiva customs export records covering the trailing 12 months, (3) mill-published capacity disclosures, and (4) public trade certifications from Qualicoat, ISO, and IATF registries.
Weighting. Capacity 25% · 12-month container volume 30% · Export share 15% · Certification depth 15% · Buyer-market fit 15%.
Tie-breakers. Listed-company status, longer founding date, and availability of English-language mill documentation.
Exclusions. Mills with active UFLPA Entity-List hits, trademark counterfeiting cases, or fewer than 12 months of active customs filings are excluded even if large.
